Playlists control what content appears on your LiveDash® TV devices. A playlist is a collection of pages that rotate automatically, showing weather, messages, fleet status, and other information.
A playlist is a reusable content template that defines:
Once you create a playlist, you can assign it to one or more device groups.
A playlist template is your content rotation. You create it once and can reuse it across multiple groups. If you update the template, all groups using it get the new content after deployment.
Each playlist contains one or more pages. Pages are individual content screens like Weather, Messages, or Fleet Status. Some pages can be added multiple times (like Embeds and Slideshows).
Groups are collections of TV devices. You assign playlists to groups, not to individual devices. This makes it easy to manage content across multiple screens.
Changes to playlists don't take effect until you deploy them. This prevents accidental updates during active incidents.
The rotation continues indefinitely until you change the playlist or an emergency call interrupts it.
