Scheduling lets you automatically switch playlists based on time. Show different content during day shift vs. night shift, on weekdays vs. weekends, or during special events.
Each device group can have:
- 1 default (base) playlist - Always active as the fallback
- Up to 3 scheduled playlists - Override the default at specific times
When a scheduled playlist's time arrives, devices automatically switch to it. When the schedule ends, they return to the default playlist.
Plays every day between specific times.
Example: Show "Morning Updates" from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM daily.
Plays on selected days of the week between specific times.
Example: Show "Weekday Operations" Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Plays only during a specific date range between specific times.
Example: Show "Holiday Content" from December 15 to January 2, 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
When multiple schedules are active at the same time, the highest priority wins:
| Schedule Type |
Priority |
When Used |
| Date Range |
Highest (300) |
Special events, holidays |
| Weekly |
Medium (200) |
Recurring weekly patterns |
| Daily |
Low (100) |
Everyday time-based content |
| Base |
Fallback (0) |
No schedule active |
Example: If you have both a Weekly schedule (Mon-Fri 8 AM-6 PM) and a Date Range schedule (Dec 25), the Date Range takes priority on December 25.

Test before important dates
- Set up schedules in advance
- Verify they activate at the right times
- Check that content looks correct
Avoid overlapping times
- If schedules overlap, the highest priority wins
- This can be intentional (Date Range overriding Weekly)
- Or accidental (two Daily schedules at the same time)
Use the correct timezone
- Schedule times use your agency's timezone
- Verify times if you have devices in multiple timezones
Deploy after changes
- Schedules don't take effect until deployed
- Always click Deploy after adding or editing schedules
- Check that you deployed after adding the schedule
- Verify the schedule times are correct
- Ensure the scheduled playlist is marked as "active"
- Look for conflicting higher-priority schedules
- Check schedule priorities (Date Range > Weekly > Daily > Base)
- Review overlapping time ranges
- Verify the correct playlist is assigned to the schedule
- Deploy the group again
- Check if another schedule is still active
- Restart the device if issue persists
