LiveDash® TV devices are digital signage hardware units that display rotating content on your screens. They show weather, messages, fleet status, and more. When an emergency call comes in, devices can automatically display dispatch information.
A LiveDash® TV device is a small computer connected to a TV or monitor that runs the LiveDash® player application. Once registered and approved, the device receives content updates in real-time and displays your configured playlists.
Supported device types:
- PiSignage - Raspberry Pi-based devices
- Android TV - Android TV devices (NVIDIA Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, etc.)
- Device registers with your agency using a 6-character code
- Administrator approves the registration
- Device joins a group and starts displaying content
- Content updates are pushed to devices automatically via WebSocket
- Emergency calls can interrupt content to show dispatch information
Devices are organized into Groups. Each group can have its own playlist and settings:
- Default Group - New devices are automatically added here
- Custom Groups - Create groups for different stations, rooms, or purposes
- Playlist Assignment - Each group has a base playlist plus optional scheduled playlists
Learn more about groups in Understanding Device Groups.
When an emergency call comes in, devices can show dispatch information. You control this with paging settings:
- Global paging mode - Agency-wide setting for all devices
- Per-device overrides - Individual devices can be set to always page, never page, or follow global rules

- Set up a device - Connect hardware to a TV and power it on
