Paging behavior controls which devices display emergency dispatch calls. You can configure this at the agency level and override settings for individual devices.
- Log in to your LiveDash® dashboard
- In the left sidebar, find Administration
- Expand Agency
- Click Device Paging
Choose one of three agency-wide paging modes:
- No devices receive emergency calls
- Use for maintenance or testing periods
- Status shows: Red "Disabled"
- All approved devices receive emergency calls
- Individual devices can still be disabled
- Status shows: Green "Active - All Devices"
- Only specific stations receive calls based on unit numbers
- Configure which units map to which stations
- Status shows: Orange "Active - Per Station"
Each device can have its own paging behavior that overrides the global setting:
| Behavior |
What It Does |
Use Case |
| Global |
Follows the global paging mode |
Most devices |
| Always |
Always shows calls (except when globally disabled) |
Critical locations like main office |
| Disabled |
Never shows calls |
Lobby displays, training rooms, demo units |
To set an individual device's paging behavior:
- Go to Administration > Agency > Device Paging
- Scroll to the Device Paging Controls table
- Find the device by name
- Use the dropdown in the Paging Behavior column
- Select: Global, Always, or Disabled
- Changes save immediately
When using Per-Station Paging mode, you map unit numbers to stations:
To add a rule:
- Select "Per-Station Paging" mode
- Click Add Rule
- Enter the unit number (e.g., "4012")
- Select the target station
- Add optional notes
- Click Save
To import multiple rules:
- Click Import CSV
- Upload a CSV file with columns:
unit_number, station_name, notes
Example rules:
- Unit 4012 → Station 1
- Unit 4024 → Station 2
- Unit 4036 → Station 3
When a dispatch call comes in, it displays for a configurable duration before returning to the playlist.
To set the duration:
- Go to Administration > LiveDash TV > Groups
- Click the Edit icon next to a group
- Toggle Show Dispatched Calls for this group
- Select a Call Display Duration (1-10 minutes)
- Click Update Group

- Click a row to expand and see:
- Call details (address, CAD code)
- Which stations/units were targeted
- Device success/failure status
- Response times
- Click Load More to see up to 50 recent calls
The top of the Device Paging page shows your dispatch integration status:
