The Roster Display page shows personnel schedules and shift assignments on your TV devices. Keep everyone informed about who's working and when.
- Log in to your LiveDash® dashboard
- Go to Administration > Page Configuration > Roster
- Configure display settings
¶ Column Visibility
Choose which columns appear on the roster:

At least first name OR last name must be visible.
Primary Sort
- Choose the main sort field (Schedule Name, Position, Last Name, etc.)
- Select Ascending, Descending, or Custom order
Secondary Sort
- Optional secondary sort applied within each primary group
- Choose a different field than your primary sort
- Select Ascending, Descending, or Custom order
Custom Sort Order
- Available for any string-based sort field (not date/time fields)
- Works on both primary and secondary sorts independently
- When you choose "Custom" as the sort order, a drag-and-drop list appears with the unique values for that field
- Drag items into the exact order you want them displayed
- Use Reset to return to alphabetical order
For example:
- Set primary sort to Schedule Name with Custom order to control which stations appear first (move "Admin" to the bottom)
- Set secondary sort to Position with Custom order to define a rank hierarchy within each station (Captain first, then Engineer, then Firefighter)
Hide specific schedules from the display:
- Select schedules to exclude
- Excluded schedules won't appear on devices
- 12-hour format - 2:00 PM
- 24-hour format - 14:00
A live preview shows sample roster data with your current settings.
Click Save to apply your configuration.
- Go to Administration > LiveDash TV > Playlists
- Create or edit a playlist
- Click the Roster chip
- Set duration (recommended: 25-35 seconds)
- Save and deploy
For the Roster page to work:
- Roster integration must be configured
- Personnel data must be synced
- At least one schedule must exist
- Show relevant columns - Hide columns you don't need
- Exclude admin schedules - Focus on operational personnel
- Sort by position - Group similar roles together
- Test different layouts - Use preview to find the best configuration
Shift board style
- Show: Position, First Name, Last Name
- Sort by: Schedule Name (Custom) — order stations how you want
- Secondary sort: Position (Custom) — define your rank order
- Hide: Times (if shift times are standard)
Detailed schedule
- Show: All columns
- Sort by: Start Time (Ascending)
- Include: Start/End dates for multi-day views
Simple roll call
- Show: First Name, Last Name
- Sort by: Last Name (Ascending)
- Hide: Position, Times
